Focus Groups
Focus groups are an engagement method that utilize small groups of 10-12 community members to discuss topics in greater detail.
The focus groups will expand upon information gathered in the Community Survey, taken by 364 participants, to identify specific recommendations and goals for the plan.
Focus groups will gather opinions on topic areas that did not have clear consensus and have a “push-pull,” or balance, that participants will work to identify.
How the Focus Groups are Organized
-
The duration is two hours, from 5:30-7:30pm.
-
The location is the Paul R. Spitzfaden Community Center, 3090 E Causeway Approach, Mandeville.
-
Food (sandwiches/wraps) and beverages will be provided.
-
The maximum number of focus group signups is 12 participants.
-
Please, only register if you can attend both sessions for the selected topic area, as the second focus group will build upon discussions in the first.
-
Please, only sign up for one topic area (that will meet two times), to ensure more people are able to join focus groups.
-
The last 15-20 minutes of the focus groups will be information-sharing between groups, so you get to hear the other group’s ideas and discussion points.
-
-
The focus groups will be hosted concurrently, so that two topics will be hosted at the same location, at the same time, in different areas of the room.
